PRACE-6IP was the sixth in a series of the pan-European supercomputing infrastructure Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe (PRACE) implementation phase projects.
It was funded as part of the European Union’s H2020 framework programme and started on 1 May 2019.
The PRACE-6IP project continued and extended the scope of the PRACE-5IP project, based on the long-running programme’s core principles.
HPC-GIG aims to help establish a strong governance structure for the European Cloud Initiative.
By gathering intelligence from European HPC stakeholders, HPC-GIG will provide valuable insights to the future “HPC Governance” entity.
This will ensure a smooth start to the initiative and facilitate its alignment with the overall program goals.
