The 19th PRACE Call for Proposals for Project Access closed on 30 April 2019. This call included an offer of 2.3 billion core hours (30 million node hours) on six world-class HPC systems, as well as a pilot for Industry Access, with a reserved share of 10% of the resources, and resources from the Pilot Phase of the Fenix Research Infrastructure.
A total of 57 proposals requesting up to 3.5 billion core hours were received. The proposals were submitted by PIs from 14 different countries, with collaborators from another four countries. The proposals are distributed across the following scientific and industrial disciplines:
From May to September 2019, PRACE will scientifically and technically evaluate these proposals, assisted by PRACE technical advisors and external scientific experts. Applicants will be given the opportunity to provide answers to the technical and scientific reviews by mid-July. The PRACE Access Committee will use the reviews and answers received to rank the proposals according to their scientific excellence. The results from the Call will be communicated to the applicants by the end of September 2019.
