Background and History
The PRACE HPC Excellence Award was launched in 2022 after approval by the PRACE members, then gathered in the PRACE Council, on the recommendation of the PRACE Scientific Steering Committee and has been awarded annually since then and announced at some high-level European HPC event.
In awarding such a prize, PRACE wants to promote excellence in Science achieved thanks to the effective use of High Performance Computing, the focus being set on the outstanding scientific achievements more than on the underlying computing technology.
