PRACE receives the HPCwire Editors’ Choice Workforce Diversity Leadership Award

PRACE is delighted to receive the HPCwire Readers’ and Editors’ Choice Award, in the category Workforce Diversity Leadership for its PRACE Ada Lovelace Award in HPC at the 2019 International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage and Analysis (SC19), in Denver, Colorado. Tom Tabor, CEO of Tabor Communications, publisher of HPCwire, personally handed over the award to PRACE.

A better management of cerebrovascular accidents

Cerebrovascular accidents (CVA) are caused by a perturbation in the blood supply of the brain leading to a quick loss of cerebral functions, that is very often lethal. There are two categories of CVA: ischemic CVA (80% cases) resulting from the occlusion of a cerebral artery and haemorrhagic CVA (20% cases) provoked by a bleeding vessel.
